Communication Is a Two Way Street
One of the most important aspects I’ve learned about practicing law is having the ability to communicate effectively and consistently. No matter how solid a resolution may seem on paper, without proper communication, the implementation can go awry quickly. For attorneys, we must be aware of our client’s concerns and anxieties; walking a mile in their shoes can help alleviate worries and prevent a marathon’s worth of back tracking and extra work. No doubt there must be a balance of how much information is necessary for an update; in my experience, providing an update on an attorney’s position or view of the status of the case once every two weeks is a good way to stay in the loop and be prepared for any unexpected changes. Ample communication can ensure that trust is built and kept between a client and the attorney entrusted to represent their best interests thoroughly. Clients likewise should understand that as attorneys, we have a duty to them and their interests and will always act in accordance with those interests. Attorneys at Lamarre Law Group will always strive to provide you the best representation to help you navigate your legal issues with confidence and trust.
